Why Is It

There is a house a few streets over that I walk by on one of my two mile loops. They own their own landscaping company (says so on their trucks), but their yard looks like hell. The front is a mess and the back looks like a junkyard...don't they realize that it would be great advertising for them if they had the nicest looking yard in the neighborhood? I think they could probably even write off the cost (either against the business or in home improvements). Duh!!!

The shoemaker's kids never have shoes. The people who work in Human Resources never get reviews. I'd say the dentist's kids have bad teeth but we know that one isn't true. :) We should be thinking wow they're so busy being creative and beautifying everyone else's yard they have no time for their own, right? :)

No, I think that is just bad advertising if they are parking the work truck in front of the house. My ex husband was a painter and he had his van in front of his ugly 70's pistachio green house. I recommended he paint his house for the exact same reason.

I have a friend who's a tattoo artist and he can never find the time to finish his inkworks.

Mechanics drive old beaters that barely run, hairdressers have lousy hairdos...I always enjoyed helping a friend clean up their house, but hated cleaning my own (although I was a fanatic about it) and it is hard for me to use my computer at home after using one all day at work. weird huh....
