GRRRRR!!!!!

I needed gas the other day...I usually wait to get gas until I go grocery shopping because there is a really cheap place near my grocery store...unfortunately, I couldn't wait that long, so I got half a tank at $2.32 a gallon.

Now I need gas again (I have about a 1/4 tank left) and in 3 days the price has gone up 20 cents. This is ridiculous, for some reason the gas taxes here are causing our gas to be much higher than other locations in the US and I am sick of it. I am hoping to make a trip to the grocery store this week and I am sure some gas will be purchased as well, hope I can get a better deal there.

Ugh!!! I need to just start riding my bike to the close stuff and boycott the driving for a bit. I am not sure what we will do on our driving vacation this summer...push our car???

I'm with Ian on this one. GRRRRRR!! I always kinda annoys me when Americans complain about the price of fuel. You had it so good for so long, and now see it as some kind of right. My car costs £60 it fill (that's about $105!!) You think you have problems

Ian and Grac- I used to live in Japan and it is expensive there too so I know that we have it good here. What I am complaining about more is that this area is higher than our neighbors in the US because the local legislation voted some kind of gas tax in. I think it raises our gas by 20 cents over other localities in the US.

Kil- We don't have public transport in this area...I wish we did. It is too rural I think.

Oh, and the fact that I just didn't fill up the other day, thinking I would be getting cheaper gas elsewhere in a few days...now it is more than I paid everywhere...I should just learn to fill up and not try to save a buck anymore...my own fault.

You might consider riding the bikes on vacation, too! Yeah, it's amazing how much the price has risen in the past 3 weeks.

It sounds like your prices are about the same as here. What gets me is when there is a 30 or 40 cent difference between different neighborhoods. Of course, driving 10 miles out of your way to save $1.00 is pretty silly, but I've done it just on principle!
