This is one of my pet peeves. I really don't think people do it on purpose.(at least I hope not) They just aren't thinking when they open their mouths. When someone does this it reminds me of being in middle school or highschool and being left out of the party everyone is talking about. It makes you feel like such a loser. Why is that?
I know. And in this case I was one of the invited and it ended up being open to everyone but the reasoning they used for excluding people at first made no sense and most of us that were coming told them so.
