Hunting

Went to run a few errands yesterday and decided to pick up a couple of caches along the way. One I knew was going to be stupid and it was and I didn't even bother with it....just added it to my ignore list, and the other was new and I had a pretty good idea where it was.

Unfortunately, when I got to the area that I thought it was going to be in, my GPS was telling me to go in a completely different direction for quite some distance....I didn't believe it, so I got back in the car and drove around the area thinking that perhaps there was another way in that I was just not aware of. I ended up driving into a very crappy part of town (not the town I live in, but a neighboring town). I didn't feel like it was a dangerous part of town, but it just didn't have anyone living there that cared about how it looked apparently. There was litter everywhere, in yards, on the sides of the street, everywhere. A lot of it was run down, cars parked in yards hidden by grass like they had been there for years. I was kind of surprised being, the tourist area we are in, that it was in such disarray.

Anyhow, after driving all over trying to find it, I didn't, and ended up finishing my errands and heading home. Got home to double check the coordinates and I wrote down one of the numbers wrong and it is totally in the spot I thought it was in and I probably walked right by it....ugh!!! Oh well, I'll be out that way again soon and I'll get it then. In the meantime, I have a few near a park I like to walk at that I might go for this afternoon (once again, one might be stupid).

Maybe you should create a cache in the litter area called "Clean it up" or something. It might bring people's attention to it.
