World Cup Soccer

The World Cup is in day 3 today. We have been watching what we can when we can and it has been great so far. I will miss part of today's last game because I have a game myself to attend to, but I did manage to get most of the games this weekend in (or at least highlights).

Too bad I can't play as well as those guys...our team could use it. We had a bbq at one our friends yesterday and they play soccer too. We used to play with them when we lived in the same area before. I hope to help them get connected with some players around here and perhaps we will all get some playing in again.

ABC and Espn seem to be covering the games pretty well, and the broadcasts have not been limited to only US matches so I am thrilled. We'll see who comes out on top of this one this year.

My buddy was out of town over the weekend, therefore missed the coverage of world cup soccer. Ironically, he was at a soccer tournament with his son! haha!

Lucky for him, it is on for an entire month so hopefully he can catch some games if he wants...

World Cup is a big thing in my country and the national television broacsts all matches. Plus it's in Germany, so there's no time difference and I get to watch metaches at normal hours.

This year, it is being broadcast at a decent time (pretty much from 9am EDT to 4pm EDT) everyday and we are getting to see all the matches too. At first I thought they were going to only show us US matches and the big ones but so far, they are showing everything...finally our networks have figured it out.

I am thrilled since I am a huge soccer fan and have been playing soccer since I was in highschool.
