Several years ago they tried to pass legislation that would require grocers to identify where are food was coming from, it was lobbied against and died in the house.....duh!
I am buying organic - cannot live without my tomatoes! They are not putting them on anything right now, so my subway turkey gets some when I get home - my veggie pizza too!
