I think it is messed up that the media is trying to connect this blog site to this kid's messed up head. Being "goth" had nothing to do with whatever mental issues Gill might have had.
I find it funny that they don't point out when other bad people have Blogger, Typepad, or Myspace accounts or profiles but because this looks like "interesting" news, they make a big deal out of it....there is a lot of crap out there all over the net and I don't think the fact that this kid was a member of this particular site makes him anymore susceptible to being a murderer than if he were posting his dislike for people on Wordpress.

It's like when that guy killed all the rave kids (who happened to be Burners as well) in Seattle. All they did was talk about the rave scene of the victims and not the crazy killer guy.
Anything for a quick thrill and a little profit.
Same old story. Thy will start searching down kids will wierd hair cuts in schools now.
It sells newspapers and Nielson ratings - I am in this environment and I tell you that the only thing to them that is important is the ratings. These ratings boost advertising rates and that makes them more money - they really do not care about ethics anymore....sad....
