Drunk Drivers

I am so disappointed to see today that at least three of the bloggers I read regularly, succumb to driving while intoxicated (buzzed, tipsy, trashed...call it what you want). I thought people had wised up about this? Was I wrong? Is it just as prevalent as it was for my parent's generation (baby boomers) and I just don't realize it? I just don't think it is the smart thing to do and these days there really is no legitimate excuse for it. I almost commented to one about it but then decided that I am not their mother, so I would just mention my distaste for people who drive drunk on my own blog....so here it is...my distaste.

When I lived in California and had to drive everywhere, I was horrifyingly anal about that. I know that one drink over the course of the evening won't make me drunk, but I am completely unwilling to test that theory out, so I never drank when I went out. Now I drink & walk. :) I rode with a drunk driver in college once. That was all it took actually. Nothing happened. But it was snowy (Alaska) and the swerving and shimmying scared me a bit. I was drunk too so it wasn't like I could've driven.

Oh... umm, one of those might've been me. Maybe the other was CL? Sorry, I thought I had made the story outrageous enough for people to know I was joking about that part... but maybe not.

Actually TerraT I did think that you and CL were joking....it was posted on some other bloggers pages that made me think it was becoming a trend...no worries...

Oh thank goodness! I actually removed that post because I thought someone would think I was serious and then I was afraid I'd offended you! LOL
