We Have Babies

Apparently our mollies had babies and two of them survived...

I am pretty sure they have been having babies all along (they are live bearers) but because we have tetras in there, I assumed they were being consumed before they got a chance to live.

In the last few weeks, our automatic feeder has been running and probably feeding the fish a bit more than necessary, which has apparently made it less desirable to eat fellow fish. I cleaned the tank the other day and afterwards was checking out the fish and saw these two little guys (only one is pictured here)...they are so cute...mini fish.

One of the babies is the little silver one above the big albino lyretail.

Awww, how cute! I hope they survive to get big.

can you isolate them when they are born so they will not be fish bait?

Yes, you can if you see them being born but I don't have any place to isolate them to and I have never seen any being born...

would they survive in a fish bowl with some of the same water?
