If you don't drop the contact into the actual contact case before adding the solution, you will wake up to a crusty clear thing stuck to your countertop.
No, but fortunately, they are disposables so I just picked out a new one from the box. Unfortunately, the one that dried up was only a day old one so it was kind of a waste of a perfectly good contact...
