I have to admit - I've tried in the past. Doesn't quite work as well as you'd think!
Usually, the circumstances are that I've just finished ironing something and as I put it on, I realize I've missed a spot. I'll pull that part of the item away from my body and try to run the iron over it.
Like I said, don't waste your time trying. It never really works.
You know Violet, I never even thought of people just stretching the clothes over the ironing board...when I read the statistic, I just pictured them turning the iron on themselves....haha.
I am sorry - the images of someone doing that is too funny....but....you never know. Maybe I will do a search on YOUTUBE.
